Biography of Maikil "Golden" Kunda
All about CS:GO player Golden from fnatic
Maikil, “Golden” Kunda Kunda, born Feb 2, 1994, is a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player from Sweden (Iraq origins), currently playing as a rifler and In-game leader for fnatic.
The history of Golden
Golden’s pro career started back in 2015, when he was 21 years old and already an established and skilled player. The only reason he was a little bit “late” with his beginning is that he went back to school after playing Counter-Strike 1.6 semi-professionally.
Education was a huge deal for his parents as they were always a little bit skeptical about his gaming career, so he decided that it would be best for him to have that under his belt. That did not take away from his game, as he is as good as before, maybe even better.
Golden started as a part of the fnatic academy. They recognized the talent he had underneath his fingertips, so they did not hesitate to invite him to try out for a position as the in-game leader. They were proven to be right, as his ability to show control over situations was impeccable.
According to the team, the try out was never about testing his skills or judging if he was or wasn’t good enough for the team – that question was unnecessary. The only doubt was about whether he would fit into the mental picture of the squad, but Golden’s personality was a perfect blend for team chemistry.
From Visomvet to ...
Golden has worked his way to the top through hard work and dedication. He did not switch between many teams, but despite that, he was able to gain a lot of consistent playing time and experience. Some of the teams that he represented were Visomvet, fnatic Academy, Cloud9, and after bouncing between two of them, he finally happened to find his rhythm with his current roster – fnatic.
