Jere “sergej” Salo, 01 Mar, 2002, is a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player from Finland, who currently represents CurrentTeam. He is a prodigy of the CS:GO world, being the youngest player ever to reach a Major Grand Final in IEM Katowice 2019 where he was just 17 years and one day old.
The history of sergej
sergej may be young in terms of age, but in terms of experience, he is a straight-up veteran. He picked up video games from the moment his hand was big enough to use a computer mouse, and everyone was able to tell that he possessed huge potential. He fell in love with gaming right from the first headshots, and the rest of his story was nothing but excellence as results came naturally from a mixture of his work and talent.
He plays as a rifler and so far he has been providing great value for his team. So don’t be fooled by his babyface – this young man will take your head if you give him the chance. sergej has two main characteristics a rifler should have – discipline and versatility. A steady hand and a quick eye of his is what allows him to shoot multiple enemies in a matter of seconds, leaving opponents in disbelief that someone can actually be that fast.
sergej owns a unique achievement of being the youngest professional player ever to be awarded the MVP title, when he was only 16 years old at the time of winning the award.
He has joined CurrentTeam, and they seem to be growing and evolving constantly. Considering how young he is, the potential for his improvement is beyond limits, and we are probably witnessing the rise of one of the all-time greats.
His highest achieved rank in the world is 13th place, which was back in 2019.
