Tournament format
The Arctic Invitational is based around invited teams, which as their 1st event involved only 4 teams.
The format consists of the playoff stage only, where the single-elimination bracket format is used to determine the winner.
All matches are BO3

Arctic hosted one of the first-ever CS: GO tournaments in Finland and became a hit with the fans straight away. It became famous for the grand scale of their tournaments with some of the best players and teams from all over the world. A stadium with screaming energy and fans roaring for their favorite teams and players.
Players ready to give it their all, fans nervous with their snacks and drinks in one of the biggest arenas in Finland, well you should prepare yourself because you’re in for one hell of a ride.
Arctic Invitational's first event
The first-ever Arctic Invitational took place in 2019 in the capital city of Finland, Helsinki. 4 great teams from Europe were fighting against each other to win the Artic Invitational trophy, together with a share of the enormous $100,821 USD prize pool.
The teams playing were Cloud9, CR4ZY, FURIA, and SJ. FURIA and Cloud9 went on against each other for the first playoff match of the tournament. FURIA took the lead by winning the 2 matches straight.
On the other hand, CR4ZY and SJ clashed with each for a very competitive match. In the end, CR4ZY took the lead by winning the last best of 3 matches.
FURIA and CR4ZY went toe to toe in the final of the tournament where FURIA won the tournament by defeating CR4ZY by a 2 match lead and became the first-ever champions of the Arctic Invitational.
