Recap of CS:GO tournament BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018
Astralis the team from Denmark was the winner of the latest BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018 inLisbon, Dec 14, with a prize pool of a massive $250,000.
The final game between Astralis and NAVI (Ukraine) ended in a victory to Astralis 2-1, and secured the first place prize of $125,000.

What happened in BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018
Blast Pro Series Lisbon 2018 was one of the most exciting CS:GO tournaments in 2018. The competition took place in Lisbon, Portugal, where six invited teams were competing for a prize pool of $250,000 USD.
A tournament for the fans!
You could tell from the start that the 60,000 fans, who came to witness this historic event, were filled with energy. The atmosphere was crazy and the fans expected a thrilling show. And amongst the competitors, Astralis were the favorites to win this competition. They had won all the major titles within that year, and this was another opportunity to secure yet another title.
On the other hand, going for the championship was not going to be that easy. Everyone was willing to give it their best shot and give fans something to be excited about.
A tough group stage
In the Group stage, all the six teams play against each other. Astralis showed their skill and prowess by winning all five matches and losing none.
NAVI, who were the reigning BLAST Pro champions, came in as a close second, after winning three of their games in the group stage and drawing the other two. Unfortunately, MIBR, which was the local fan favorite, got the fourth position.
The grand final
The Grand Final was between Astralis and NAVI, and was quite a thrilling match.
At first, NAVI seemed to get the upper hand while playing on Overpass. They did everything to counter their opponent’s strategies on this map.
A winner is crowned
When both teams played on Cache, Astralis didn’t start off well. But as the game progressed, the team showed significant improvement, and in the end, they beat NAVI 2-1, and won the competition.
MVP of the tournament
Astralis took home the $125,000, and became the first team in CS:GO history to win two BLAST Pro Series tournaments. Magisk, a player from Astralis, became the MVP of the tournament. It was his first time achieving an MVP award.
