Dreamhack Open January 2021

Jan 27, 2021Feb 1, 2021

Once again are we ready to present Dreamhack Open. This January season is divided into two regions, Europe and North America. In Europe we have 8 team competing and in North America only 4 teams will be competing.

It’s a wide field in Europe with some of the bigger teams known, and the new FunPlus Phoenix team as well. In NA, the victory is up for grabs for anyone really, so look closely you might get surprised.

The total prize pool is $100,000, with $70,000 being in the European region and $30,000 in the North American. Enjoy these 4 days of great Counter-Strike, and remember to cheer on, even though it’s online.

Highlighted players

We have selected five players that you should look out for in Dreamhack Open January 2021 - because they are on the rise or is the best players right now. Use the information with common sense and don't use our subjective assessment in games or betting if you do not agree.

In the EU closed qualifier, Jerry was the man of the hour. Together with forZe, he is going to fight. Jerry is the type of guy that has a high precision when it comes to aim. He is like others what we call a huge impact player. So, the end-result will depend on his level of the day.

Making an appearance in the NA closed qualifier, oSee was the man to watch. He is going to be the make or break it for Extra Salt, over in NA. But with his amount of impact, it shouldn’t be hard for him to help his team to the top.

Farlig and the rest of the GODSENT roster, has been signed by FunPlus Phoenix. They are still a player short, so, who their fifth will be is still unknown. But with an AWP’er like Farlig, it shouldn’t be hard for them to get the new guy right onboard.

There’s not really much to say about syrsoN. He is one of the better players in the world at the moment. Together with BIG, they ended as one of the best teams in the world, and they will probably have a great chance of snatching the victory.

Sprout qualified through the ESL Meisterschaft Autumn 2020, and faveN was the many to carry the team all the way through. He’s a young man we will watch closely, as he will try his best to annoy the other teams as much as possible.
