Tournament format
All the matches that take place during the regular season are played according to the swiss-system, with 16 teams participating. It leads to 8 teams getting eliminated and 8 proceeding to the Playoffs. All matches are BO3.
The Playoffs are played in the traditional way. A single-elimination format is used and again the matches are played as Bo3. This will, in the end, determine the winner of the 2 months-long competition.
Sometimes the organizer will test out new concepts and formats. Therefore always check the tournament page if you would like to study a specific tournament.Whats special about United Masters League
