Berlin - Germany - Europe
BIG, the short term for “Berlin International Gaming” is an esports organization based in Germany that existed since 2017. It was formed by three former NRG players – Fatih “gob b” Dayik – Nikola “Legija” Ninic and Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz.
In February of 2017th, they signed one of their veteran players, Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk, as their coach.
Their biggest rise in the rankings happened in 2018 when they managed to seize the 6th rank in the world.
From their early days, they have made it clear that they are on a mission to become leaders of the German esports community and dominate in the gaming world. The goal to compete on a high level came to life as they were testing their talent with some of the most elite teams in the world.
Sometime in 2018, some things went downhill and the team did not start the year as planned. After the bad turn of events in Krakow 2017, they realized they had to make some changes. Their head player “Legija” took the coach position, and “kakafu” switched to being their analyst.
That extensive update didn’t just end there. They also went on to make a record transfer in German CS:GO history by signing “tiziaN” who was a member of “ALTERNATE aTTaX”. The fee was the highest since the existence of esports in Germany, and “tiziaN” was said to be “Cristiano Ronaldo of esports”.
In the same month, the team went on to sign “luckeRRR”, but their cooperation did not last long. They went on their separate ways just after two months.
Their roster developments were happening very quickly, so after parting ways with “luckeRRR” they had an empty spot which they filled by signing “smooya” from Epsilon Esports.
After several changes and efforts to keep their squad together, they are finally able to dive into the next challenges as their team core is stabilized and is continuously developing.
