Finland - Europe
ENCE is an esports organization from Finland that was founded in 2013. It is considered as home to players from many areas of the esports universe – PLAYERUNKNOWNS BATTLEGROUNDS, StarCraft 2, HearthStone and of course, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
ENCE had focused primarily on its national CS:GO scene in Finland. When they managed to win StarSeries and i-League CS:GO Season 6 in October of 2018, they decided to extend their horizons.
The highest ranking they’ve ever had in Counter-Strike is the 2nd place in the world, which is by far the best in their history.
Their story began after winning IeSF World Championship in 2016. The team’s amazing performance had the ball rolling for them.
In 2018, they managed to capture 2nd place in DreamHack Open Montreal. After that, they finished 1st in StarSeries and i-League CS:GO Season 6, which opened up the door to the world stage for them.
Later that year, they won on the DreamHack Open Winter 2018 stage, finishing the year with a strong message that they had come to stay where they belong, among the top teams.
They continued to roll in the same fashion, as they took the 1st place in Europe Minor Championship – Katowice 2019.
A couple of months later, they came up short in the finals of Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Katowice Major 2019, taking the 2nd place.
In May of 2019, they went back on their winning track, seizing 1st place in BLAST Pro Series: Madrid.
In June of the same year, they missed another opportunity to win a championship, losing in the finals of DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, taking 2nd place.
The previous defeat did not stop them from keeping their confidence, as they went on to win Telia Esports Series Season 1 during the same month.
The team is to this day one of the best in the world and wants to keep proving others wrong, by winning and placing high in tournaments to come.
