Ukraine - Europe
HellRaisers is an esports organization with origins in Ukraine. They came to be after Astana Dragons didn’t gain the traction needed to succeed, so they rebranded as Hellraisers and they currently have a team in games like Dota 2, Hearthstone and of course Counter-Strike.
Since they have decided to spread their presence on the European stage, there is only one Ukranian player left on their roster. The multitude of nationalities in their team indicates the serious approach they are taking in order to build an international elite contender.
HellRaisers have at times been a team in the top 30 of the rankings, but they need to make an extra step in order to get to the highest level of competition.
Back in 2015, they managed to win 1st place in Acer Predator Masters Season 1 by defeating Mousesports in the final.
One year later, they won Europe Minor Championship – Columbus 2016, defeating E-Frag.net Esports Club in the finals.
In March of the same year, they added another championship victory to their resume, defeating the same opponent in Copenhagen Games 2016.
They started 2017 a little bit slower, finishing 4th in StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3, getting defeated by FaZe Clan.
In November of 2017, they managed to get back on the winning track, defeating Team Kinguin in FCDB Cup, grabbing one more title next to their name.
In December of the same year, they had a downfall in their form, finishing 6th in ESL Pro League Season 6 – Finals. Here they got defeated by Misfits Gaming.
Another decline in their form happened in V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018, where they took home the 4th place after getting defeated by Mousesports.
Luckily, they managed to get back in rhythm by winning the Bets.net Masters Season 1, by defeating North in the final.
In July of the same year, they managed to win yet another chip, defeating Team Spirit in the finals of CIS Minor Championship London 2018.
After the short successful run, they got eliminated early in FACEIT Major London 2018.
Even though this team had its ups and downs, there is still a bright future for them as they prepare for the upcoming tournaments. If they continue to sharpen their skills they are on the path of becoming an undeniable force in the esports world.
