Heroic

Copenhagen - Denmark - Europe

Heroic is an esports team based in Copenhagen, Denmark, originally developed by some former members of TEAM X back in 2016. There are plenty of elite Danish players who made their first appearance on the scene by playing for team Heroic. The most prestigious names include gla1ve, valde, and niko, who were once the heart of the team.

Their playing philosophy is built around the friendly relationships amongst the team members, which makes their chemistry and teamwork even deadlier compared to other teams. Friends first, competitors second – that motto seems to work for them.

As far as the rankings go, they are currently in the top 30, but by the end of the year, they are expected to cut the queue in half and finish within the top 15 in the world.

The beginning of their journey started in August of 2016 when they managed to capture the 1st place in Power-LAN tournament, defeating team Dignitas in the finals.

They did not win too many tournaments that year, but they managed to grab one more title, winning against team VG.CyberZen in the last round of International Gaming League 2016 – Grand Finals.

They struggled for the most part of the coming year, as they went on a bad streak, coming in 4th in Intel Extreme Masters XI – World Championship. They were stopped by the big favorite, Astralis and went homeward with a significant loss.

A few months later, they managed to get into the finals of DreamHack Open Atlanta 2017, but failed short of another championship, losing to Team EnVyUs, taking the 2nd best position of the tournament.

Another big-time frustration came in ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, as they got eliminated earlier than expected, taking the 8th place and losing to team North.

Although they had some tough times, they, fortunately, bounced back and managed to get on a good run, winning World Cyber Arena 2017 – Europe Main Stage, and get into the finals of Copenhagen Games 2018.

Later in the year, they won two more 1st places, one by defeating team Kinguin in the Games Clash Masters 2018, and another one by defeating team TYLOO in TOYOTA Master CS:GO Bangkok finals.

The future of this team is yet to come, as they continue to develop their skills and consistency.
